GLOBAL PRESIDENT OF ROORKEE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION.
I had known that Prama Jyoti foundation was conceived and established in 2009 by Ravi Sharma. I learned a bit more recently about this commendable initiative, and want to share some thoughts on it with those visiting its website. The prime objective of the PJF was to address the mammoth task of improving the education and training system of the country, which leaves much to be desired, and, virtually requires to be lifted from the boot straps. In fact, most of us realize this but only throw up our hands in despair – not so Ravi Sharma!
The education, particularly at the schools, requires to be taken well beyond the present outmoded and ineffective level. The Foundation has so far benefitted a large number of students from the IIT Roorkee, from where the foundation initiated its efforts, and, thousands of the four schools adopted by Ravi.
I am profoundly impressed by Ravi’s vision, his dedication to the cause, and, personal contribution in taking the PJF forward. He and his team deserve all our compliments.The task is huge and the PJF venture, while being applauded, calls for emulation. Let us remember that for all that we want to do for the upliftmentment of our Country, education is at its base.
